Description: Game developed using Phaser framework as the final project of the course 'Web Game Design and Development' in collaboration with Alexandra Moreno Díaz and Cristian Cantos Roselló. You can play it here.

How to play: You have to get all the candies before the time runs out or you will get killed. For levels 1 and 2 rotate the character by moving the mouse and move forward by holding and releasing the right mouse button. In level two you can shoot with the left mouse button or with spacebar. Please note that due to a current bug you may need to move the mouse out of the game viewport and back in for it to work. When you get the candies, you will have to go through the rainbow door that takes you to the next level or to the final screen. Objects that can hurt you are green and the ones which can´t hurt are pink. There are three ground types, the green ground makes you go slower, the ice ground makes you go faster. The normal ground has no effect. There are two power-ups, the shield (press X key to use it), which will protect you from everything, and the hammer (press Z key to use it) that will hit the ground and kill enemies that are nearby. Level 3 plays like a platformer, move using the arrow keys and shoot using spacebar. It also includes a new ground type that makes you jump higher.

Description: Game developed using Unity game engine within the project Planeta Debug with randomly assigned teammates. I had the role of guiding the programming team and programming the systems of the game such as the dialogue system since I was the most experienced team member regarding using Unity and C#, therefore I not only programmed but also focused on developing UML Diagrams, Gant diagrams and other resources for the team. During this project we used the SCRUM methodology and it was an interesting challenge since we needed to coordinate with the rest of the team while having to deliver a playable demo on a limited time budget. The requirements for the project were for it to be based on the problematics of climate change and to show some of the work of one research group, specifically the Perinatal Epidemiology, Environmental Health and Clinical Research Group from Jaume I University. It also had to be developed in 2D using a game engine. Given these requirements we decided to develop a puzzle-adventure game based around the idea of giving the player an interesting story about the Yakuza during which they would unexpectedly discover the consequences of climate change on health when they found out the consequences it had on the main characters. You can download the demo here but the game is in Spanish since that was required.

Description: Game developed using Unity game engine, designed in collaboration with another game development student but programmed entirely by me. It is a tower defense game, where the player has to defend their territory from the enemies by placing defensive structures along the enemies’ path of attack. There are two functional types of towers right now, each with a different type of attack or effect. There are also different types of enemies which have different characteristics. The game also includes power ups with a limited number of uses, turret upgrades and turret targeting method selection. Finally there is a multi lane mode where the enemies can follow two different paths. You can download the current version here, note that you need to manually start each wave with the button on the bottom left corner so you can have time to place turrets between waves. All assets in the game are free assets from Kenney modified by me as I see fit.

UJI Sea Battle

Description: This project is an app for playing Battleship against an AI opponent with two different levels of difficulty. It has been developed using Android Studio with Kotlin as a programming language. It was a class assignment that required that the app worked specifically as it does. As a project, it was useful to learn how to program directly for Android without using a game engine as a middleman, given an specific set of requirements. Description: This project is a walking simulator/horror game concept that was developed during a weekend for a game jam in Shawnee State University during 2019. It has been programmed using Unreal Engine blueprints and it works in Oculus Rift VR headsets. The theme for this game jam was restrictions so we developed a VR game where you are restricted to seeing what you can hear by hitting the environment with a tuning fork. I specifically worked on the hand shader, the movement and the dropping and grabbing mechanics, while also fine tuning the environment shader developed by my teammate.
